We love April Fools' Day because it gives us yet another excuse to #PLAYmore. We tell jokes daily, but on April Fool's Day, we take jokes to the next level. Here are some fun and easy pranks that will keep your kids giggling all day.
1. Bug in Your Drink
Drop a bug in clear resin into your kids water bottle or glass and try not to chuckle as they take their first drink. The bugs we have come from this Lakeshore Real Bugs Discovery Kit. Best part about this kit is, they can double as an educational toy. Simple bug ice cubes
work if you're just using them for a prank.
2. Someone's Outside Your Window
Print a life size photo of someone scary or a photo of one of your kids. Cut it out and tape it to the outside of your window. Ask your kid (or a gullible adult) to open the blinds and watch their reaction. We love this one so much it's been up since last year and we continue to use on friends and family that visit.
3. Color Changing Milk
Add a few drops of food coloring into the bottom of their cereal bowl and cover with cereal. Watch their surprise as they pour the milk and see it changing color. We used blue food coloring but any bright color will do the trick.
4. Pickled Floating-Head
This is one of my favorites because it's 1. creepy 2. hilarious 3. easy. Here's how to do yourself:
1. Find a clear jar and remove all labels.
2. Print a photo of your kid or spouse's head.
3. Curl the photo into a cylinder and insert into empty jar.
4. Fill jar with water.
5. Add a few drops of green food coloring.
Sit back and watch this hilariously, creepy joke unfold.
5. Rodent Invasion
Insert a stick into a potato and have it poking out of a cracker or cereal box. At a glance, it looks a lot like a rat! Leave this on the breakfast table for an early morning scare and laugh.
There you have it, fun and easy pranks to pull on your kids this April Fools' Day. I hope this inspires you to take some time out of your day to #PLAYmore!
