FREE 4th Grade National Parks Pass and Junior Ranger Programs

The Every Kid Outdoors Program provides fourth-grade students with FREE entrance to public lands. And bring a car full of family and friends for free! We've been waiting for Zander to be in the 4th grade to take advantage of this!

To get your pass, 4th graders must complete an adventure diary. Teachers can get their entire 4th-grade class passes! Find all the details to get your pass here.

Many National Parks and Monuments offer Junior Ranger Programs. The kids complete a series of activities during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger badge or patch, and Junior Ranger certificate. Junior Rangers are typically between the ages of 5 to 13, although people of all ages can participate. The Junior Ranger motto is recited and each child takes an oath to protect parks.

Here is a complete list of parks with Junior Ranger Programs.

Our kids have been collecting theirs for year and they are excited to visit more this year. Leave a comment below with which parks/monuments are your favorite!
